Giving back
At Virginia Barber School, our students and faculty regularly engage in community service. Voluntary extracurricular activities, such as cutting hair for homeless men during the holidays, enable students to apply the material they learn in class to real-life situations. With teachers provide guidance and oversight, students exercise their creativity and learn to set goals for themselves. These life lessons will follow them well beyond earning their barber’s license, and have a positive influence on their personal lives as well.
